There’s always someone who will shit on your triumph

Last week, I blogged about a 13-year-old kid who became the first person in 34 years to actually defeat the Nintendo Entertainment System’s version of Tetris. They played so long, in fact, that the game couldn’t keep up with them, and the game glitched out.

Now that’s a hell of an achievement. And as the story about the 13-year-old Tetris prodigy went viral, they appeared on several different news reports.

I now take you to Jayne Secker of Sky News, who also covered Blue Scuti’s achievement. But in that news report … the reporter couldn’t help but make a very snide, backhanded, condescending statement about what Blue Scuti had accomplished.

Wow.

Way to take a shit on that achievement, Jayne.

Especially when Sky News seems to have absolutely NO problem hyping a 16-year-old darts prodigy. Yeah. Story after story from Sky News about some kid who can throw a dart into a cork board.

So … darts are okay, but video games aren’t?

Have you seen what the top esports players make these days, Jayne? They make a TON of money and they garner a TON of excitement. But you be you, Jayne.

Ugh.
